Our process

How ShipHarbor works

Six clear steps take your order from an online checkout to your front door. Here is what you do, what we do, and what it costs, so nothing comes as a surprise.

Step by step

Six steps from checkout to delivery

Think of ShipHarbor as your own address in our warehouse. Stores send your orders to us, we receive and check them, and then we ship them on to you.

You stay in control throughout. You decide when parcels travel, whether they are combined, and which shipping option you prefer.

1. Tell us what you need

Start with a short message through our contact form. Tell us what you plan to ship, roughly how much, and where it is going.

We reply with your receiving details and a clear quote. No account is needed.† We set everything up with you by email or phone.

2. Shop and ship to our warehouse

Use your ShipHarbor receiving address at checkout with any store that delivers to it. Your address includes your personal reference, [CUSTOMER_REF].

Put that reference on every parcel so we know it is yours, and ask the store to print it on the outside label. Before you order, check the prohibited items list.

3. We receive and check your parcels

When a parcel arrives, we log it against your reference and check the outside of the package for damage.†

Once it is logged, we let you know it is here by [NOTIFICATION_METHOD].† If something looks wrong, you hear about it early, so you can decide what to do next.

4. Combine or ship right away

You choose what happens next. Keep parcels with us for up to [FREE_STORAGE_DAYS] days at no extra charge†, so orders from different stores can arrive first.

Then combine them into one box to save on shipping†, or send each parcel on its own. Carriers price by weight and size, and one well-packed box can cost less than several.

5. Choose your shipping and pay

We show you the shipping options for your parcel and destination, along with the total cost. You compare them and pick the service that suits you.

Once you confirm, you pay by [PAYMENT_METHODS]. You see every charge before you commit.†

6. We ship, you track

We hand your parcel to [CARRIERS] and send you the tracking number. You can follow the delivery on the carrier’s own tracking page.

Delivery times depend on your destination and the service you choose. They are estimates, and customs checks can add time. If a parcel is delayed, lost or damaged, see Shipping & Delivery.

On arrival

What happens when your parcel arrives

Here is what happens from the moment a parcel reaches our warehouse, so you always know where it stands.

We record it against your reference.

Pricing

What does it cost?

Your total has three parts. We show you all three before you pay, so you can decide with the full picture.

Carriers charge by the greater of two weights: the actual weight, or a size-based “dimensional” weight. A light but bulky box can be charged as if it were heavier, which is why a box that fits its contents saves money.

Example

A simple example

Say you order a jacket from one store and a pair of shoes from another. Both are sent to our warehouse and arrive on different days. We log each one and let you know.

You ask us to combine them, and we repack them into one box.† We show you the shipping options and the total. You pay, we ship, and you receive one parcel with one tracking number.

This is an illustration, not a price promise. Actual costs depend on size, weight, destination and carrier, so we show you the figures before you decide.
